One of the first places on my list (for November) to visit is Glen Canyon which stretches between Arizona and Utah. This would be a jumping off point for touring other national parks ๐๏ธ and monuments throughout Arizona and Utah. The November through March period each year is the best time to visit places like Glen Canyon, The Grand Canyon, Zion National Park, Arches, and other natural wonders because the summer months are way too hot, too much to cope with to really enjoy these sights.
This year the goal is to spend more time at the Grand Canyon the (northern rim) because the time I first spent there in 2019 was too limited. This time, the most memorable way to reach the canyon will be on the Grand Canyon Railway beginning in Williams, AZ. The trip to the station ๐ on the south rim of the canyon takes about four hours or so to complete (it will sure beat driving again!) and will be a more fun ๐คฉ way to enjoy the countryside.
Speaking of train rides, another one that my partner and I are really keen on is the Verde Canyon Railway ๐ which departs from Clarkdale, AZ and is a four hour tour traveling 20 miles through the magnificent Arizona desert and mountains ๐๏ธ (sort of a warm up for the Grand Canyon Railway tour). Personally, I can think of few things better than kicking back on a refurbished, air-conditioned luxury train – with a couple of cocktails and enjoying the passing scenes while someone else does the driving!
Next up, Bryce Canyon in Utah is another one of the magnificent, visually stimulating places Iโd love to visit this fall. Any natural places with an otherworldly appearance and supernatural mystique are irresistible to me. So, this is another place Iโm eager to check out and maybe do a little hiking! Iโm also really looking forward to getting some great ๐ photos and video of both Glen Canyon and Bryce Canyon – and whatever I can capture from the train tours. By late November or early December these visits will provide some new, memorable material for my blog: http://www.starburstmedialounge.com
