These victims just happen to get caught up in his rage cycle, which makes Arizona a distressing, yet timely piece considering the mass shooting violence which is all too prevalent today. Aside from the gore, in my estimation this movie is profound because of the callous deceit, greed and lies which can eventually lead up to such tragedies … even if it is depicted as over-the-top in Arizona. I was really struck by how the middle class lifestyle is depicted as a sham – all smoke & mirrors.
