Some of the most spectacular scenery in America is found in Arizona; with the Sedona region being a prime location to view gorgeous vistas. The majesty of Sedona has provided stunning views for dozens of movies filmed in whole or in part here for over seven decades. The natural beauty of the area has been featured to great effect in many western films such as the 1954 cult classic Johnny Guitar which was notable and rare for the genre to feature two female protagonists (Joan Crawford & Mercedes McCambridge) in the lead roles. Today, the Sedona area offers numerous resorts like Oak Creek Terrace pictured here off State Rte. 89-A; which wonderfully compliments the beauty and lushness of the natural surroundings.
